Streamlining Data Integration Processes for Norway's Largest Shipping Line
Norway's largest shipping line for international passenger and goods traffic, and one of Europe's leading short sea shipping lines, faced a significant challenge. With around 2,300 employees in four countries, the company transports approximately four million passengers, 900,000 cars, and about 180,000 trailers a year. The challenge involved enhancing its data integration processes and exporting financial transaction data from Dynamics 365 and importing it into Adra Matcher.
The client needed an integration solution that could synchronize transaction data across three separate applications: Dynamics 365, Adra Matcher, Azure Datalake, and Azure Blob Storage. The integration process required the use of Azure Datalake and Azure Blob Storage for Dynamics data export, and the import of bank transactions in CSV format into Adra Matcher.
ConnectMyApps’ Professional Services Team designed a secure and automated transfer solution using its own integration platform, Canvas, to meet the client's needs. The project involved exporting transactional data from Dynamics 365 and importing it into Adra Matcher. The integration utilized Azure Datalake and Azure Blob Storage for Dynamics data export, and it imported bank transactions in CSV format into Adra Matcher. The solution included three workflows, with a sync frequency of once per day.
Through collaboration with ConnectMyApps, the shipping line successfully streamlined its data integration processes. The project achieved automated data exports and imports, improved data mapping, and structured testing for enhanced transaction accuracy. These improvements not only enhanced operational efficiency but also strengthened the client's financial data management.
